Imo and I had breakfast at Heirloom. I had the best latte ever, and a Hearty Breakfast (two poached eggs, black beans, brown rice, cheese, salsa and sour cream, and toast) -- delicious!!! We sat outside and talked about -- goodness, I forgot what we talked about. But at the table next to ours, there was a middle-aged couple and their dog, and I couldn't help but think that was going to be us in fifteen years, minus dog (or, well, who knows, with dog), still having leisurely weekday breakfast dates while the kids are in school.

After breakfast, we went to the Salvation Army antique store and bought old records. We found Genesis and Heart albums (among a few others), which amused the heck out of Imo, who, it appears to me, is on an eighties music trip. As soon as we got home, he put the records on and grinned while listening to In Too Deep, and then, Never. So funny.

We've been getting beautiful fall weather: sunny and cool. There's still a lot of green but the maple trees are starting to turn red and the gingko trees yellow. I love this time of year.
